i think that he meant by be slow on choosing a friend that to take your time on picking a person to e your friend. Like don't rush cause your going to make a mistake and have a friend that you can't trust one bit. And when he said slower on changing he mean by that is to think before changing a friend cause you might left a good go and then you can't get them back when you had relaized it.
