The current event that i had read was New outages, flight disruptions from ice storm. The schools had close for thousands of young kids, Iowa’s biggest airport shut down and thick layers of ice brought down more power lines. The International Airport and departure delays were averaging 15 to 30 minutes, said Karen Pride of the city’s Department of Aviation. But that same day at least 22 deaths had been blamed on the storm system since the waves of sleet and freezing rain started during the weekend. Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses had no electricity. President Bush declared an emergency in Oklahoma on Tuesday, ordering federal aid to supplement state and local response efforts.

Iowa’s largest school district closed for the day in Des Moines, telling its nearly 31,000 students to stay home, and kids across most of Oklahoma and in the Kansas City, Mo., area stayed home for a second day.
Schools also were closed in parts of Wisconsin, including Milwaukee Public Schools with 85,000 students. About an inch of ice was expected Tuesday over parts of Iowa, followed by up to 5 inches of sleet and snow. “It’s a pretty good ice-maker. Ice as much as an inch thick had accumulated on trees, power lines, streets and car windshields Monday in parts of Oklahoma and Missouri, with thinner layers elsewhere. Crews were sent from Texas, Louisiana, Indiana and Mississippi to help repair power lines, which snapped seemingly as quickly as they could be repaired. Utilities in Missouri reported more than 100,000 homes and business without power and Kansas utilities said 100,000 were blacked out Tuesday, with some in the dark since Sunday.

What i had read was Campaign trail rancor carries into GOP debate. It had started with the Republican candidates engaged in a free-for-all, trying to differentiate their views on immigration, the Iraq war, abortion, gun control and even whether they believed every word in the Bible was true. Unlike previous debates in which the candidates focused most of their attacks on Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, Wednesday night's attacks were launched at each other.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney traded jabs over illegal immigration, something they have been arguing about on the trail for the past month.

In the quest to appeal to the hard-line immigration wing of the party, Romney also turned some of the fire on the same topic toward former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who has been in the polls for a along time. Rep. Tom Tancredo, who has anchored his candidacy on securing on theborders and cracking down on illegal immigration, seemed delighted with the give and take, saying the other candidates were trying to "out-Tancredo" him.

You have an extra $1,000,000 to give away; you cannot spend it on yourself. What would you do with the money? Describe what you would do with it in detail.

Since I can't spent it on me I would probably give it away to the children hospital, the homeless, to other poor country that need help, and last to my family that need it the most. I would buy toys for the children hospital, movie, video games, ect. The to the homeless i would buy food, clothes, if their children then i'll buy toy, supplies for them to take a shower, sleep, ect. After i would sent different supplies to them including clothes, food, toies, and buy other supplies that is needed to live in a everyday life. But last to give the rest of the money to some of my family members that need it more then ever. The once that are broke and need help with the bill and supplies for the house and that need to do better.
